What to know

Rehearsal dinner

Friday 11 September, 7:00 pm — Mill House Inn, 2 Mill Lane.

Wedding party, immediate family and anyone travelling from out of town. Come as you are; it's a long table and a short menu.

The ceremony is unplugged

Please keep phones away until after the vows. There is a photographer, and you'll get everything.

What to wear

Black tie optional — a suit is completely fine. The ceremony and drinks are on the lawn, so heels will sink. Blocks or flats, and bring a layer for after dark.

Getting there

Parking at the Waterworks is limited to about thirty cars. If you can, take the shuttle from the Rowan Hotel — it leaves at 3:15 pm sharp and runs back at 10:30 and midnight.

Rideshare drops at the Mill Lane gate. Coverage is patchy in the valley, so book the return before you lose signal.

Where to stay

The Rowan Hotel — rooms held until 1 August under WHITFIELD/ELLIS. Ten minutes away and where the shuttle runs from.

Mill House Inn — six rooms, walkable, book directly and mention the wedding.

Bring the children

We mean it — this is a family day. Dinner is early enough that nobody melts down, and there's a table by the terrace doors with paper, pencils and something quieter to do during the speeches.

The Mill House has a room upstairs if anyone needs a nap or a break from the music. Tell us ages when you RSVP and we'll sort the food out.

Gifts

Your being there is genuinely the thing. If you'd like to give something anyway, we're putting it toward the honeymoon — details are in the RSVP note.
